Looking for an independent Mercedes specialist for your classic Mercedes Benz?
We did lots of research looking into specialist workshops who could look after our really lovely 1900 300ce 24 coupe.
We discounted genuine Mercedes agencies as they all seemed to offer little apart from huge bills.
There seemed to be a genuine lack of garages specializing in classic Mercs here in Andorra, and little choice in France and Spain. But as we travel to the UK twice a year anyhow, to visit family in and around Yorkshire and central Manchester, we started looking into English garages, after reading lots of positive internet posts about a Preston outfit called W124 Works I made an appointment and took the car in for a head gasket replacement along with a full (everything it needed) service.
I can honestly say that I was not only delighted with the service we received, but also the bill, which given the amount of work they had done, was very reasonable indeed. If you have a classic Mercedes, and live anywhere in Europe, do yourself a favour and try W124 Works.
